A Baringo North businessman has criticized the area MP William Cheptumo over what he said to be misappropriation of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the constituency.
Mr Jonathan Tokei, who is expected to challenge Mr Cheptumo for the area parliamentary seat in 2022 promised to expose instances of misuse.
“We cannot continue sitting down and watch(ing) when a classroom of sh 500, 000is built using sh 2 million,” he said.
The businessman was unveiling the fencing off Simot cliff, which he financed.
The cliff has caused several deaths through accidents and suicides, prompting an outcry from area leaders and residents.
Mr Tokei said the cliff has a potential to become a major tourist site if developed and marketed.
He said the fencing cost sh 270, 000.
