The grouping of Rift Valley leaders that met in Kajiado pointed an accusing finger at the government over state jobs that have been going almost exclusively to members of the Kikuyu community.
Ironically, the group’s most vocal member, Joshua Kutuny, has been seen to belong to circles that surround President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“There has been concern on alleged skewed state appointments in state jobs,” said their statement in part.
This would appear to be an indictment on the president who is ultimately responsible for the appointments.
President Kenyatta has been silent as job after job went to members of his community, suggesting his tacit approval.
“In the spirit of inclusivity for an all-inclusive government that reflect(s) the face of Kenya,” the statement said, without stating whoever it was directed to.
